I haven't posted a Meet Me post in, well, I think forever on this blog! So I thought I would take today to post a little about me!
I know I talk about myself in my blog posts, but there's a lot I don't talk about too. There's also a lot of things I love in life, that would totally explain a lot about me!
My husband and I met in high school, but never dated!
I was a competitive gymnast when I was younger, until I got to high school. I was also a dancer and danced in our studios company. In high school, I was on the gymnastics team (given, duh), cheered, and played soccer my junior and senior year.
I never enjoyed school, only liked (and excelled) in math. School did not connect with my until I reached college.
I'm not a big movie person; however, I love all Disney movies.
I LOVE Gilmore Girls and can probably tell you about any and all episodes.
I love corny shows, like Hart of Dixie, Arrow, Super Girl. I call them mindless shows I can get lost in without really thinking.
I love to watch PBS! Masterpiece Theater is my favorite but I really love any of their shows.
My best friend and I met when we were in Kindergarten together. We've been friends ever since, still are and only live about 2 minutes from each other. Our kids are now best of friends and our husbands actually like each other (they hang out without us).
I have lived in the same town my whole life, live around the corner from my parents in the same neighborhood I grew up in. I taught at the high school my husband and I met at, and now our oldest daughter goes to the same school!
I am a vegetarian. I don't like meat, never really have. I don't cook meat anymore either. My kids are happy with soy and now eat that when I cook. I LOVE pasta and would eat it every night if I could.
I hate to workout! I feel like it's a job. I will do yoga every now and then, I enjoy it, but I don't schedule workouts. I will walk with friends, but mainly because we talk the whole time! I have trained for races several times in my adult life, but only really because I need to lose weight! LOL
I LOVE ice cream! In fact, during the summer, my kids and I will get ice cream on the way home from the beach, and that's our dinner (dairy and fruit!).
I LOVE the beach. I have since I was little! My husband and I got married on the beach. I will take my kids to the beach everyday during the summer if I could. We live within 45 minutes of 6 different beaches and my dream is to one day retire at the beach.
Well I know that's a lot, and a huge smorgasbord of items but it was fun! Enjoy your weekend and stay warm!
